Yellow Belt: Signifies Earth, from which a plant sprouts and takes root as the TKD foundations being laid.

Dan-Gun: Is named after the holy Dan-gun, the legendary founder of Korea in the year 2333 B.C. From the history of medieval Europe we remember Charlemagne (Charles the Great, 768 A.D.), warrior and legislator. He brought the parts of Europe that we now know as France, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium and a great part of Italy into a period of enlightenment. He revived teaching, bringing public schools to France and educating the common people.



Dan-Gun consists of 21 movements these are;

Double knife hand block

Low block

High block

Square block

Punch

Knife hand strike

1) Step sideways into a left back stance and double knife hand block.
2) Step forwards into a right front stance and right punch.
3) Turn 180 and double knife hand block into right back stance.
4) Step forward into a left front stance and left punch.
5) Turn 90 to left and left low block into left front stance.
6) Step forward into right front stance and right punch.
7) Step forward into left front stance and left punch.
8) Step forward into right front stance and right punch                      HAI!
9) Turn 270 left and square block into left back stance.
10) Step forward into right front stance and right punch.
11) Turn 180(right) and square block into right back stance.
12) Step forward into left front stance and left punch.
13) Turn 90(left) and left low block.
14) From low block change it into a left high block.
15) Step forward into a right front stance and right high block.
16) Step forward into a left front stance and left high block.
17) Step forward into a right front stance and right high block.         HAI!
18) Turn 270 left into a left back stance and left knife hand strike.
19) Step forward into right front stance and right punch.
20) Turn 180 into a right back stance and right knife hand strike.
21) Step forward into a left front stance and left punch.
